All people living today descend from a common ancestress. She is called "Mitochondrial Eve" and lived approximately 150,000 years ago. The installation addresses all of our relatives and the diversity that existed among people. Most of the photographs used for the frottage are from women of diverse culture and date from the beginning of the last century. They show and a cultural diversity that no longer exists today. The projected calculation counts the generations with the respective number of ancestors back to the generation of our common ancestress.
